The Library and some forty fans welcomed author and illustrator Jan Thornhill to the Central Library this morning for some creepy and fascinating fun. While the audience sat attentively during the presentation (that included photos of decomposing pigs), the real fun started when Jan brought out her Museum-in-a-bag. Children and
adults alike got to touch and examine mouse skulls, five foot python skin and the tiny mummified brown bat.
It was great to see a few WiseGuys in the audience. Jan has always been a favourite author, making nature fun and interesting through her award-winning books, many of which have been Silver Birch and Blue Spruce nominees.
